Do Over

Well, we started the steps to finding our children in March of 2007. Urkaine reach there quota last month and are not taking anymore dossier until late Jan 08. Good news we do have a place in line to turn ours dossier into the SDA next year. There is a small catch. We will have to redue most of the documents becouse they will expire before the SDA wants them to.. So we just redo them. :)
Michael and I almost have the childrens room completed. Yes is it a boys room. So if we come home with a little girl she will get to help us decorate her room. This means I loose my guest room / extra closet. Not a problem I will get the screen in porch glassed in and turned into that extra space needed. I really like the boys room we are doing and will post pictures when it is completed.
I am actually glad that the Lord is not sending us to Ukraine right now. It will give Michael knee a while longer to heal and for him to get stronger. Remember he had knee replacement surgery in July. It will be great to be visiting Ukraine in April or May. Spring is alway beautiful I hear and my birthday is in May. What a present.

Our translator has had our paperwork for a few weeks now. We FedXed it Oct 23. However , the SDA will stop accepting dossier in Dec. What is means is we will not be in Ukraine Christmas or New Years and will be miss most of the very cold weather. That is a good thing. We just might be there for Easter. That would be great!
It has help us so much by reading other blogs. It keeps me focused on the big picture and the goal. I often wonder if we will be able to this, go to another country where we do not speak the language and be successful at finding our children. Then I think, you know if all of these other people can do this , do can we. It is a blessing to be able to follow their journey. God will provide.

Right now our house hold is in hunting season mode. Michael and Harvey are getting ready to go to Il , Pike co. to find that big one. You know the one. Michael's knee is progressing. It has been 4 months after knee replacement and he is going to try and go back to work and the 17 of this month. Please pray for him as he continues to recover.

It is strange kinda of funny how someone can make something so simple so hard. I want to thank Kim C. for helping me navigate the halls of the State Department. She found out just how the Notary at the state dept want the wording on the doc. Something that could have easily been conveyed to me last week. I even ask and the secret was not passed. Guess, I did not speak the correct language of politics.. But if they ever need the language of pharmacetics I promise to not forget that I am a Southern Lady and "Bless their hearts"

Hopefully and God willing we will once again send the paperwork to the State Department sometime this week. Then onto Ukraine where our translator is waiting.

Ok I just thought that we had everything perfect. When we send the papperwork to the notary at the state department she did not like how we had several doc. So now we are trying our how to make sure she is happy and still doing exactely what Ukraine wants. Talking about being in the middle. I just want to adopt children. All of this red tape is just something we have to learn to contend with for now.
On a litter note. Yes that does say litter. Our Lady Boxer has had 8 yes 8 puppies and everyone is doing great and growing. If you want on let us know.

Today is Michael birthday. This time next year we will have new children in the house to celebrate with us. My heart is overwhelmed when I read blogs of other families that have found there children in Ukraine. Michael and I are very excited about the adventure and can not wait to get there. Right now we are still several several months away. However we have gotten word to go get our finger prints. So, one more step down and several more to go.......
